Founded in 1956, BYB is an all-volunteer organization offering a quality baseball program for the children of Batavia and Mooseheart. Our programs serve over 1,200 players age 6 to 17 with over 90 teams. With no financial support from any local government, BYB raises funds through local sponsors, donations, and player fund raising. BYB is in constant need of adult volunteers to coach, prep fields, sell concessions, umpire games, etc. We encourage and need your assistance. BYB holds monthly board meetings (open to the public) on the second Tuesday of each month at the Batavia Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson, 7:30 PM during the off-season, 8:30 PM during the season May through July.
Par Tee Fore Bulldogs Fundraiser
The Batavia Bulldog Booster Club supplies funds to the district to help support student athletes and athletic teams. Traditionally the Boosters have supplied funds for uniforms, scholarships, equipment and other items totalling approximately $20,000-$60,000 per year. Along with these items the Boosters have taken on long term projects such as funding the artificial turf surface in Bulldog Stadium which included a $300,000 donation from the Booster Club.
Like other fundraising organizations over the past 2 years, funding for the Boosters has been dramatically reduced due to COVID-19. Things are starting to get ‘back to normal’ and Boosters have raised funds this year through memberships, sponsorships, concessions and a Penrose brewery fundraiser. Soon, the boosters will be running their first large event in over 2 years, “Par Tee Fore Bulldogs” which will take place at TopGolf in Naperville on Sunday, January 16th, 2022 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The event was formerly known as Tee Off For Turf. It will be a similarly run event as it had been in the past but limited to 200 golfers this year. Please sign up quickly so you are not left out! We expect a BIG response! New this year- we will be offering non-golfing attendees a reduced rate.
Please see the linked brochure for sign-up details and sponsorship opportunities. We prefer online registration but know some businesses need to pay by check.
If you have any questions about the TOPGOLF outing or Batavia Bulldog Boosters fundraising efforts, please don’t hesitate to contact Athletic Director, Dave Andrews at
Adopt-A-Family - BYB Families, we're coming up short!
Last year the BYB community pulled together 82 donation bags...as of the posting of this update we've pulled together just 2. We have until Sunday Dec. 12th to bring that number up.
Also, we've added an online web-store for accepting donations as an alternate (or in addition to) the bags and gift-cards.
As always we appreciate the generosity and giving spirit of the BYB community!
Batavia Youth Baseball – We need you back this year! How can you help?
Adopt A Bag
Volunteers purchase specific non-perishable necessities that fill one brown bag. Each adopted family receives a bag and if we have extra bags, they go to senior citizens in need. We prefer a brown bag as is stands up better and contents cannot roll out.
Bag contents include:
1 med. Laundry detergent
4 pack toilet paper
1 Box Kleenex
2 pack of bar soap
1 full size shampoo
Bags can be dropped off at various locations:
East Side 1555 Benson Court
West Side 103 N Dixon Drive
Dawg Pound 812 Main Street (Sunday 12/5 from 9:30am – 4:00pm)
Drop off will begin on November 22 and will go through December 12. *
GIFT CARDS –
This is such an important piece of our program. All teenagers want to eat out! Restaurant gift cards are so appreciated as well as gas cards, Aldi and gift cards to Nike, Adidas or Famous Footwear at the outlet mall Everyone needs shoes this year!
An online store has been setup to accept donations to the United Way, so if you are unable to get out and put together a bag or pick up a gift-card you can still help out. The online store is available from the bataviabaseball.com website, or you can just click here.
If you have any questions or would like to arrange a pickup, please contact
Joe Novotny @ 630 399-5742.
