Frequently Asked Questions

How many kids per session?

  • 5 athletes per session is the minimum for the class/clinic to be run. If there are less than 5 registered then the class/clinic may be cancelled (with a full refund). There will be no more than 20 athletes in any session.

Where will the classes/clinics be held?

  • All camps and classes are will be held at he Dawg Pound (812 main st. Batavia) 

Who is the instructor?

  • All camps and classes are instructed by coach Bryan Farrington and staff. Please contact Bryan with any questions at coachbryanfarrington@gmail.com

Summer baseball and softball camps at the Dawg Pound will offer a fun and exciting way to learn the skills of the game. Join us for a 4 day camp covering hitting and fielding concepts geared towards preparing players of all levels to play the game.

Equipment needed: bat, helmet, glove and water

Pre-Tryout Camp

 Pre Tryout Camp

This camp will focus on getting your athlete ready for travel baseball tryouts. Skills covered will include, hitting, fielding, pitching and baserunning. We will discuss how to carry yourself at the tryout, how to look at the tryout and things to keep our minds calm during a sometimes nerve racking situation.

Equipment needed: bat, helmet, glove and water

- 7/8-7/11
- 10:00 - 11:30am : 8u-10u
- 11:30 - 1:00pm : 11u-12u
- 1:00 - 2:30pm : 13u-14u

Little Sluggers

Little Sluggers

This once a week class is geared towards learning all skills of baseball and softball at the beginner level. Hitting, fielding, pitching and base running will be covered. Game play will be a major focus to help teach the skills and keep these athletes having fun!

Equipment needed: bat, helmet, glove and water

Baseball/Softball Hitting

This once a week class will help each athlete develop an aggressive and attacking mindset while learning the fundamentals of the swing. How to use your lower half, core and hands will be covered along with game play to keep things exciting.

Equipment needed: Bat, helmet and water

- Wednesdays 6/5 - 7/17
- 9-10am
- 8-12yr olds

Baseball/Softball Throwing

This once a week class will focus on proper and safe throwing mechanics. Teaching a good dynamic warm up and quality throwing technique will allow your baseball or softball player to throw the ball harder and more accurately.

Equipment needed: glove and water

- Wednesdays 6/5 - 7/17
- 9-10am
- 8-12yr olds
- $150 per athlete

Baseball/Softball Catching

This once a week class will focus on all things catching. Stances. receiving, throwing footwork and arm action, blocking and tagging will be covered.

Equipment needed: catchers gear, boys need a cup, glove and water

- 9-10am
- 9 to 14 year olds
- $150 per athlete
