Alex Skupa - BYB Trainer
A proud product of BYB and a former Batavia High School captain, Alex Skupa has returned home to bridge the gap between skill work and athletic performance. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)—the gold standard in athletic training. With years of experience coaching youth and high school players within the Batavia system, Alex focuses on developing the "complete athlete" by blending baseball fundamentals with elite strength, speed, and injury prevention techniques.
High School Accolades
- Class of 2020 Batavia High School standout and BYB alumnus.
- Elected by teammates and coaches as Varsity Captain to lead the Bulldogs as a senior.
- As a 2-Year Varsity Starter he was a consistent presence and leader for the BHS Varsity squad.
Collegiate Accolades
- Competed at the collegiate level for both Webster University and Hope College.
- Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2022).
- Earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Hope College, specializing in human movement and performance.
