The Brice Worley Teammate of the Season Award

In October of 2025, the Batavia Youth Baseball community lost a beloved member. Brice Worley passed away after a courageous and inspiring seven-year battle with brain cancer.

While Brice was a truly talented player on the diamond for BYB, he was an even better teammate off it. He was a natural cheerleader, a constant helper, and uniquely kind to everyone he interacted with—including players, parents, coaches, and umpires alike.

To ensure Brice’s incredible spirit lives on across our ballfields, BYB has established the Brice Worley Teammate of the Season Award. This annual honor recognizes house league players who embody Brice’s legacy of leadership, genuine care, and what it truly means to be an outstanding teammate.

We are incredibly proud to announce the inaugural 2026 award recipients. Please join us in congratulating these young athletes for leading with kindness and sportsmanship this season:

The Brice Worley Teammate of the Season Award will be presented annually by Batavia Youth Baseball to honor house league players who keep the spirit of community and camaraderie alive.
